In the Final IWLCA Coaches Poll, Tampa Earns No. 7
TAMPA, Fla. – In the final IWLCA Division II Coaches poll, announced on Monday, May 28, the University of Tampa women’s lacrosse program ends the 2019 season, No. 7.
After a dominating performance at the NCAA Division II Championship, Adelphi University (19-3) claimed the top spot in the final IWLCA Division II Coaches Poll of the 2019 season. The Panthers defeated both Regis (20-1) and West Chester (20-3), en route to their ninth NCAA Championship title in program history. West Chester finished the season ranked second after making their tenth appearance in the Division II national championship game. Regis finished the season ranked third, while Le Moyne (20-2), and Queens (19-3) rounded out the top five. Colorado Mesa (15-4) had the biggest jump in the poll, rising seven spots to land at number 10 after falling to Regis in the NCAA regional final.
