TAMPA, Fla. –The University of Tampa men’s lacrosse team had a total of four student-athletes and one honorable mention who were honored as All-America selections by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Among the honorees are first-team selection, Andrew Kew, second-team selection, Ross Dickerson, second-team selection, Jake Mosher McGraw, third team selection Jack Tyrrell, and honorable mention, Matt Vetter.  

Kew, a senior from Oakville, Ontario, became Tampa’s and the NCAA Division II’s all-time leading goal scorer this season. Also, named the Sunshine State Conference Player of the Year, in his senior campaign Kew netted a team-high of 61 goals, and was second on the team in assists with 36. Additionally, Kew stated seven caused turnovers and 27 ground balls. This is Kew‘s third All-American selection. In 2018 he was a second-teamer and as a sophomore, he received first-team recognition. 

Dickerson, a junior from Berlin, Md., was among the best faceoff specialists in the nation as he won 392 of 518 from the faceoff X and had the third-best winning percentage in the NCAA, 75.7. Dickerson also led the team in ground balls, recording 244 in addition to stating four goals and six assists. The only junior captain on the team, Dickerson was also named, SSC first-team, and was the conference tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. This is Dickerson‘s second consecutive year receiving USILA second-team All-American honors. 

Mosher McGraw, a junior from Saint John, New Brunswick, was third on the team in goals this season with 42. Additionally, he recorded 13 assists, 24 ground balls, and two caused turnovers for the Spartans. This is Mosher McGraw‘s second season earning second-team All-American honors, he was also an SSC first-team selection.  

Tyrrell, a senior from Medford, New Jersey captained the Spartans defense this season with 10 caused turnovers and 35 ground balls. This is Tyrrell’s first All-America honor, he also received first-team all-conference this season. 

Finally, Vetter, a senior from Doylestown, Pennsylvania receives honorable mention recognition for the first time in his career at UT. Vetter was second on the team in points this season with 74, made up of 37 goals and 37 assists. He also stated one caused turnover and 31 ground balls. Vetter was also an all-conference honorable mention.
