This year PAVA’s Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit will be held from Thursday, December 12th through Monday, December 23rd, with a grand opening weekend on Friday, December 6th – Sunday, December 7th, and a last weekend of art on Thursday, December 26th – Saturday, December 28th. It will be held at the Creative Pinellas Pinewood Gallery in conjunction with the Florida Botanical Gardens holiday light display. The exhibit will showcase over 150 works of art from PAVA’s award winning professional artists in various mediums, and all artwork will be available for sale during exhibit hours only (see below.) In addition, the exhibit will include a special Pinewoods Partners’ Gallery that will display and sell artwork to benefit both the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation and Heritage Village and Museum, and a Young Artists’ Gallery featuring artwork by a Pinellas homeschool group.

The PAVA Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit will feature the artwork of the organization’s members in a curated collection of visual and functional creations in paint, pastel, wood, ceramics, photography, metal, glass, fiber, digital, mixed media and jewelry. In addition, there will also be a special Pinewoods Partners’ Gallery that will feature Plein Aire artwork inspired by and created at both the Florida Botanical Gardens and Heritage Village. These pieces will be for sale during exhibit hours listed below, where 25% of the sale will be donated to whichever location was the inspiration behind the artwork.

Adjacent to the Members’ Awards Exhibit will be the Young Artists’ Gallery featuring artwork from children from the Pinellas Parent Educators Association (PPEA.) Throughout the year, PAVA works with both Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Pinellas Parent Educators Association to hold various workshops and art experiences for the children involved in these organizations.

Various artists will also be demonstrating their skill and technique on Saturday, December 21st and Sunday, December 22nd from 3 p.m – 6 p.m. throughout the exhibit galleries. First Look: Friday, December 6th: 4:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday, December 7th: 9:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
(Saturday hours coincide with the Florida Botanical Gardens Annual Plant Show & Sale)

PAVA’s Annual Members’ Awards Exhibit will be located in the Creative Pinellas Pinewood Gallery at the entrance to the Florida Botanical Gardens at 12211 Walsingham Road, Largo. Exhibit admission and parking are free.

PAVA, the Professional Association of Visual Artists, is a non-profit organization run by volunteer artists to serve local artisans and support the arts community in the Tampa Bay Area. It provides exhibition, education and grant opportunities for its members and supports local art centers through scholarships for art instruction.
