Endgame’ and ‘Game of Thrones’ Dominate Winner List of 2019 Saturn Awards
The final installment of the Marvel superhero saga leads the movie pack with five awards, while ‘Spider-Man: Far From Home’ star Tom Holland wins Best Performance by a Younger Actor for the third year in a row.

“Avengers: Endgame” has come out unchallenged at the 45th Saturn Awards. As expected, the Marvel superhero film dominated the movie categories at the event held on Friday night, September 13 with five wins.
The final installment of the “Avengers” film series was named Best Comic-to-Motion-Picture Release, beating out other Disney-Marvel films like “Avengers: Infinity War“, “Captain Marvel“, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” and “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse“, as well as DC’s movies “Aquaman” and “Shazam!“.
“Endgame” star Robert Downey Jr. was dubbed Best Actor in a Film, winning over his co-star Chris Evans and Tom Cruise (“Mission: Impossible – Fallout“) among other names. The movie collected the other three awards for Best Film Production Design, Best Film Make-Up and Best Film Special/Visual Effects.
Another film from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Avengers: Infinity War” helped the lead antagonist, Josh Brolin, land Best Supporting Actor in a Film. Meanwhile, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” star Tom Holland bagged Best Performance by a Younger Actor for the third year in a row. His co-star Zendaya Coleman took home Best Supporting Actress in a Film.
“A Quiet Place” landed two awards for Best Horror Film Release and Best Film Screenplay. Other movie winners this year included “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”, “Halloween (2018)“, “Us“, “Aladdin” and “Mary Poppins Returns“.
In TV department, “Game of Thrones” reigned supreme with four nods. It won the coveted Best Fantasy Television Series title, while its stars Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage and Maisie Williams won the individual acting awards.
“The Walking Dead” also nabbed multiple awards, including Best Horror Television Series, Best Supporting Actress on a Television Series for Danai Gurira and Best Guest-Starring Performance on a Television Series for Jeffrey Dean Morgan.
“Westworld” won Best Science Fiction TV Series, Sam Heughan was named Best Actor on a Television Series for his role on “Outlander“, while “Star Trek: Discovery” took home three prizes.
