“Star Wars” bosses have assured fans Ed Sheeran is not a stormtrooper in their latest sci-fi blockbuster.

The pop star appeared in an online teaser for the film, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker“, dressed up in full costume, but moviemakers insist the “Perfect” singer doesn’t have a masked cameo – the footage is from “fan events over the years”.

It’s not the first time Ed has been linked to a major franchise – he divided “Game of Thrones” fans when he appeared as a soldier in the season seven premiere.
