Early-bird registration closing for Sustainable Communities Workshop
SARASOTA COUNTY – Don’t miss your chance at a reduced-rate registration for the 14th Annual Sustainable Communities Workshop, set for Nov. 14 at the Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida Event and Conference Center, 4750 Cattlemen Road, Sarasota.

Under the “Growing Greener Generations” theme, the workshop will draw together residents of all ages, business owners and employees, non-profit leaders, and government officials to learn about environmental, economic and social aspects of sustainability. Multi-generational panelists will discuss the latest sustainability strategies, resources and best practices, and opportunities for involvement locally.
Topics include food systems, renewable energy, social equity, climate change, regional sustainability, waste reduction, and more. And don’t miss our three keynote speakers: Josh Tickell, an internationally recognized author and film director; Chris Castro, director of Orlando’s sustainability office; and Syd Kitson, Babcock Ranch developer.
