Day One of Spartan Invite Huge Success for Tampa
CLEARWATER, Fla. – The University of Tampa men’s and women’s swimming teams opened competition at the fifth-annual Spartan Invite, with the UT men first and women second overall.

RECORD PERFORMANCES:
- Elizaveta Bazarova set the first school record of the meet as the sophomore was clocked at 23.13 in a first-place 50 Free performance.
MEN’S TOP PERFORMERS:
WOMEN’S TOP PERFORMERS:
- Bazarova took gold in the 50 Free in her school-record performance of 23.13.
- The Spartans concluded day one with a first-place showing and time of 1:41.90 in the 200 Medley Relay. The winning team was made up of Courtney Sherwood, Bazarova, Molly O’Hara and Hana van Loock.
