Bromwell Wins Defensive Player of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. – Megan Bromwell was named Defensive Player of the Week for the Sunshine State Conference. She earned the award after an impressive shutout performance versus Barry University. This is her first career Player of the Week award.
Bromwell played all 90 minutes in goal against the Buccaneers. In the conference opener for both teams, Bromwell saved all five of the shots on goal. This is her first shutout of the year and her fifth career shutout. The five saves were the most that she has recorded in a shutout victory.
The Spartans will hit the road for a pair of games this week facing off against Eckerd College on Wednesday and Embry-Riddle University on Saturday.
