BRAVO Brings to Siesta Key a New Restaurant Featuring the Italian Mediterranean Way of Cooking, Dining and Living

[ad_1]

Siesta Key residents, vacationers and visitors do not have to travel to the Italian seaside to experience Italian Mediterranean dishes prepared with the freshest, handpicked ingredients and ‘made from scratch’ cooking by executive chefs. BRAVO Italian Mediterranean will have its grand opening on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The restaurant is located at Westfield Siesta Key, on US 41 and Siesta Drive [3501 S Tamiami Trail]. The telephone number is (941) 316-0868.

In honor of the Grand Opening Celebration, the first 100 guests will receive a free entree and the first 25 guests will also receive a free bottle of wine. The restaurant opens at 11 a.m.

BRAVO Italian Mediterranean’s vision was created by Brad Blum, CEO, and influenced by his many inspirational visits to Italy to experience this magnificent way of living firsthand. “We are excited to bring BRAVO Italian Mediterranean to Siesta Key,” said Blum. “Our executive chefs at BRAVO enjoy ‘cooking from scratch’ and are inspired by the Italian Mediterranean way of cooking, which is simply better – better ingredients, better recipes, better cooking methods, better flavors and better for you,” Blum emphasized. “The Italian Mediterranean Way of cooking, dining and living is very joyful. Now, our guests in Siesta Key and Sarasota can enjoy a delightful opportunity to experience these types of Italian Mediterranean food and personalized service at BRAVO without having to visit the Amalfi Coast of Italy, although I would be glad if they did.”

Besides Italy, the Sarasota area is also significant to Blum beyond the location of our newest restaurant. He first fell in love with Sarasota while on vacation with his family as a five-year old boy growing up in Ohio. He later owned a home here and has continued visiting throughout his life. Blum’s trips have been even more frequent in the last few months as he has immersed himself in this entire project to ensure bringing to life in great detail the new ‘BRAVO Italian Mediterranean of the Future’.

Built in an Italian architectural style inspired by the Isle of Capri along the Amalfi Coast, Bravo Italian Mediterranean in Siesta Key at Westfield Mall features a clean white building with indoor and outdoor dining, azure sea-blue accents, comfortable seating and attractive décor accented with bowls of fresh lemons, vases of freshly-cut rosemary and bottles of imported extra virgin olive oil throughout. The warm and welcoming atmosphere is reminiscent of a seaside villa along the Italian Mediterranean.

There are a number of ways to experience BRAVO Italian Mediterranean. In the bright lobby, there is an Italian marketplace with various ‘made from scratch’ items for sale. The bar has inside and outside seating. The main interior dining room can accommodate large parties or romantic tables for two, and there is an elegant outside covered dining area to enjoy dinner by candlelight on the terrace. There are also two private rooms – the Sun Room with lots of natural light and the Tasting Room, where you can meet with VIP’s for a catered event. Finally, you can sit at the Sampling Table by the kitchen, where our chefs will be happy to sample for you some of their latest creations.

Working closely with Blum, the enlightened menu for BRAVO Italian Mediterranean was developed by John Imbriolo, BRAVO’s culinary leader. ‘Johnny I’ as he’s known, is a fifth-generation Italian chef who as a boy learned to cook at the apron of his Italian immigrant father, Angelo Imbriolo. John’s father was a favorite chef of John F. Kennedy and the Kennedy family as well as later for Ronald and Nancy Reagan when they lived in the White House. Offered only at BRAVO today are the same family recipes prepared by Chef Imbriolo’s father to delight President Kennedy and his family at their inauguration celebration in 1960 and for President Reagan and his family during his term in office throughout the 1980’s.

The BRAVO menu has an emphasis on offering more plant-based foods and premium seafood, with fresh lemons, stone-pressed extra virgin olive oil and sea salt. Specialty choices include Mediterranean Olives, the very best olives carefully selected and handpicked in southern Italy.

Entrees include the Alfredo Fresco line, using the highest quality chef-crafted ingredients to deliver exceptional flavor AND you’ll feel good afterwards! Three products include a lighter ‘made from scratch’ Fettuccine Alfredo with fresh fettuccine and Reggiano Parmigiana, Primavera with a medley of fresh & colorful vegetables, and a succulent shrimp version. The Chicken Spiedini is tender chicken simply grilled on skewers served with roasted bell peppers and seasoned with freshly squeezed lemon, salt & pepper and stone-pressed extra virgin olive oil, and the dish includes a side of creamy hummus. Another standout is the divine Shrimp + Lobster Fettucine, which is a guest favorite. A Neapolitan Vegetarian Pizza is four pizzas in one: roasted red peppers, fresh zucchini, grape tomatoes & basil and shiitake mushrooms with a new crisp and delicate crust. Each dish is made with the freshest ingredients, many of which are handpicked to deliver exceptional flavor.

BRAVO’s plentiful wine list includes proprietary Italian Mediterranean house wines named ‘Picco’, which are crafted in Sicily by the Settesoli Winery exclusively for BRAVO. The name Picco, which translates to ‘Peak’ in English, is a reference to the ripeness of sustainably grown and handpicked grapes from the vineyards of family-owned farms along the Italian Mediterranean seaside. Picco will come in both a smooth and rich red blend simply called Rosso and a crisp and delicious white blend named Bianco. An array of fresh handcrafted cocktails are also available for guests to enjoy at Happy Hour or with their Italian Mediterranean meal.
