Spring Hill, Florida (September 25, 2019) – Samir Mohammed Shakfeh, M.D., FACOG was recently informed that he passed the 2019 Maintenance of Certification secure written examination that fulfills his requirement of his six-year cycle of his Maintenance of Certification. In addition to passing the written examination, diplomates in the MOC year six must also complete the Part II Lifelong Learning (articles and associated questions) and Part IV Quality Improvement assignments (modules and patient records).

Dr. Shakfeh has delivered over 10,000 babies during his career here in Hernando County. He completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the nationally renowned Georgetown University Hospital – Washington Hospital Center. He also completed a residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital. He received his medical degree from Damascus University Faculty of Medicine.
