Spring Hill & Brooksville, Florida (September 3, 2019) – Advanced Cancer Treatment Centers, the oncology division of Access Health Care Physicians, is proud to welcome Peter Zavitsanos, MD, to its radiation oncology staff. Dr. Zavitsanos will practice at its radiation oncology site at 14535 Cortez Boulevard, Brooksville, Florida 34613. Call 352-596-3622 to schedule an appointment.
Dr. Zavitsanos comes to Advanced Cancer Treatment Centers directly from completing his residency at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, where he was selected as Chief Resident. Dr. Zavitsanos also completed internship at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital in Brockton, Massachusetts. He received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine. He has conducted research in the areas of Breast cancer, SBRT, thyroid cancer, and endometrial cancer.
While attending the University of Florida College of Medicine, Dr. Zavitsanos received the following awards/recognitions:

- Medical Guild Merit Award
- Pathology Honor Society
Dr. Zavitsanos is fluent in both English and Spanish. He is a member of the American Society for Radiation Oncology and the American Brachytherapy Society. New patients ages 18 and older are always welcome.
