Dr. Kerr comes to Advanced Cancer Treatment Centers directly from completing his three-year hematology and medical oncology fellowship program at the Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida. He also completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky, where he served as Chief Medical Resident. Following that he spent one year as Assistant Professor for the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Kerr also holds a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Louisville. He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and holds an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the renowned Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

Dr. Kerr is a Diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine, a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the American Society of Hematology. He has authored countless articles, oral presentations and abstracts. Among his many accomplishments, is the Dean’s Citation Award for his Ph.D. dissertation and being recognized as the most outstanding senior resident of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville.
