Achieva Credit Union is matching donations to Salvation Army at Achieva’s Lee County branch locations
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Dec. 10, 2019) – This month, Achieva Credit Union is matching donations dropped into Salvation Army “red kettles” at Achieva’s Lee County branches for up to $5,000.
Salvation Army red kettles are in front of Achieva’s Lee County locations at times when the branches are open. Donations made from now until December 24, 2019 are counting towards the match.
“We are extremely grateful for the $5,000 match to our red kettle donations,” said The Salvation Army’s Major Carlyle Gargis, Area Commander for Lee, Hendry, and Glades counties. “That $5,000 can help fulfill more than 350 food pantry orders at our outreach centers, and after Achieva’s match, nearly 700 people will be positively impacted.”
The Salvation Army of Lee, Hendry, and Glades counties helped more than 71,000 people locally last year. The organization provides a broad array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry to relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless, and opportunities for underprivileged children.

As The Salvation Army says, ‘when you put money in the kettle, expect change.’”
Alongside Achieva’s matching gift for the red kettle campaign, the credit union is helping boost awareness about The Salvation Army through local advertising.
