Citrus & Hernando Counties, Florida (December 20, 2019)– Access Health Care Physicians®, LLC, is proud to announce that Nathaniel Vinje, DO, and Jose Rodriguez, MD, both specializing in internal medicine, and their team have achieved renewal recognition under the National Committee for Quality Assurance PCMH Recognition Program.
The National Committee for Quality Assurance will list Dr. Vinje and Dr. Rodriguez and their location on its website with a recognition seal. Drs. The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) reviewed the submission, and the practice has received NCQA Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) Recognition for using evidence-based, patient-centered processes that focus on highly coordinated care and long‐term, participative relationships.
Earning PCMH recognition is a distinction in which a practice can take pride. The NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home is a model of primary care that combines teamwork and information technology to improve care, improve patients’ experience of care and reduced cost. Medical Homes foster ongoing partnership between patients and their personal clinicians, instead of approaching care as a sum of episodic office visits. About Nathaniel Vinje, DO
Nathaniel Vinje, DO, was educated locally. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology with a minor in mathematics from St. Leo University where he graduated with honors. He received his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, Florida, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida, where he served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine. Dr. Vinje also pursued a traditional rotating internship at St. Petersburg General Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida.
About Jose Jesus Rodriguez, MD
Jose Jesus Rodriguez, MD, came to Access from Puerto Rico where he completed an internship with rotations in surgery, internal medicine, intensive care, obstetrics, gynecology, radiology, psychiatric and pediatric. He was awarded a Certificate of Excellence in Patient Care in 2013 and 2014. Dr. Rodriguez received his Doctor of Medicine degree via a fifth pathway program from New York Medical College. Prior to attending New York Medical College he received a Doctor of Medicine in Surgery degree from Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara School of Medicine in Guadalajara, Mexico. He received his Bachelor of Science in biology and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from San Diego University in San Diego, California. Dr. Rodriguez speaks fluent English and Spanish.
