Spring Hill, Florida (March 24, 2020) – Access Health Care Physicians®, LLC, is pleased to welcome Maheshkumar Patel, MD, board certified in internal medicine, to its medical staff. Dr. Patel comes to Access Health Care from Sinai-Grace Hospital, Grace Hospital, and Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, where he has been practicing internal and emergency medicine since 1982. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Carmel Mercy Hospital in Detroit. He also attended a residency in pathology at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Patel received his medical degree from Grant Medical College, University of Bombay, India.
While practicing internal medicine and emergency medicine Dr. Patel was voted Teacher of the Year by the emergency medical residents and by the medical students of Wayne State University in 1994. He was also voted Teacher of the Year by the medical students at Wayne State University in 1994, 2014 and 2015.
He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Michigan Association of Physicians from India.
He accepts patients from 18 years of age and over.
