Tampa, Fla. – The University of Tampa baseball team soared over the Eagles of Post University in the second game of the weekend series.

All-time Series: Tonight was the second matchup between the two programs. The Spartans keep their lead 2-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

Jose Cadenas started off the first inning with a double to deep left field. Drew Ehrhard stepped into the box next and doubled to left field bring in Cadenas to score. The next two batters, Luke McDonald and John Pichman, were walked. Ehrhard scored on a wild pitch to make the score 2-0 Tampa. McDonald would then score on a failed pick off attempt. Josh Rulli was hit by a pitch and Dan Raglievich would take over pitching for the Eagles. Luke Benoit grounded out to third base, scoring Pichman. Mikey Navarrete and Christian Flint both walked. Cadenas stepped into the box for the second time this inning and singled to centerfield scoring Navarrete and Rulli. Ehrhard and McDonald were walked which brought Flint home. With the score at 7-0, Cadenas scored on a throwing error to bring the Spartans up to 8. Dan Sullivan batted in the final two runs of the inning when he singled to right center. || Bot. 1 || 10-0 Tampa

Mauro Conde crushed the ball over the left field fence bringing in Flint with his first home run of the season. Mike Lisinicchia was brought in to pitch for Post. || Bot. 2 || 10-0 Tampa

J.D. Urso hit a RBI Double to left center and brought in Khalib Bayona and Flint. Adam Hunt doubled to left field and brought Urso home. || Bot. 4 || 15-0 Tampa

Braydon Nelson took over pitching for the Spartans. || Top. 5 || 15-0 Tampa.

Noah Connor took over pitching for the Eagles. Benoit was walked in adding another run to Tampa’s total. || Bot. 5 || 16-0 Tampa.

Hunt singled up the middle bringing in Bayona and Conde. || Bot. 7 || 18-0 Tampa.

Nico Gaudio came in to pitch for Post. Urso singled to left field, and brought home Conde and Alex Passarella. || Bot. 8 || 20-0 Tampa.

Bo Weiss came in to close for the Spartans. || Top. 9 || 20-0 Tampa.

• Tampa tied the record for most walks in a game at 15. The record was set  in 1992 against Florida Memorial.
